Where to find Twisp!
Stevens Pass from Seattle Area
Take I-5 North to Everett and take Stevens Pass ( Highway 2), east to Wenatchee. Continue on Highway 2 to East Wenatchee/Okanogan and turn left at the junction with Hwy. 2/97 and continue north to Okanogan/Orondo/Brewster/Pateros. Continue on Highway 97 towards Okanogan. About 60 miles north of Wenatchee turn left at Pateros onto Highway 153 (20) to Winthrop. In about 30 miles, you'll find yourself in Twisp!
Snoqualmie Pass from Seattle Area
Follow I-90 east over Snoqualmie Pass to the junction with Highway 97 over Blewett Pass to the junction with Highway 2, 4 miles east of Leavenworth. Turn right onto Highway 2 east to Wenatchee and follow directions above from Wenatchee.
North Cascades Pass from Seattle Area
From I-5 approximately 65 miles north of Seattle turn east onto Highway 20 (the North Cascades Highway) at Burlington. Follow Highway 20 approximately 132 miles east to Winthrop. Continue on Highway 20 into Winthrop, crossing the bridge and turn right at the 4-way stop downtown. Continue through town and on another 13 miles and you'll find yourself in Twisp!
From Spokane
Hwy 2 West to Wilbur, then Hwy 174 West (Grand Coulee & Chief Joseph Dam to Bridgeport, then take Hwy 17 North to Hwy 97 South to Pateros, and then Hwy 153 North To Twisp
From Penticton Canada
Take Provinical Route 97 to US Border, at US Border Provincial Route 97 becomes US-97 South, follow US-97 to Omak & Okanogan, travel on Hwy 20 to Twisp
NOTE: During the Winter months (usually mid-November thru Mid April) The North Cascade Highway 20 is closed. Call 1-800-695-ROAD, 511 or visit www.wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/passes for current conditions on all Washington State Mountain Passes.
